Further details are emerging on the episode that occurred during the night between Monday and Tuesday in Quartu, as anticipated by Unione Sarda: the boy was arrested for serious injuries, his forty-year-old father is hospitalized at Brotzu and is fortunately out of danger.

According to the reconstruction by the agents of the Quartu police station, who dealt with the case together with their colleagues from the Flying Squad of the Cagliari Police Headquarters, the father and son had an argument shortly before midnight. The boy wanted to go out for a ride on his scooter, but his father and mother, given the time, allegedly refused him permission.

The classic "no" of a parent trying to protect what he still sees as a child despite his 17 years. But that denial triggered the boy's reaction. The two began to argue. The seventeen-year-old grabbed a large knife, stabbing his father twice in the back, then walked away.

It was the parents themselves who called 113 and an ambulance, providing the police and doctors, however, with a different reconstruction of the facts. The father stated that he had surprised a hooded thief in the garden who was stealing the scooter and had been injured by him before fleeing. The police did not even have time to start the checks and accompany the injured man to the hospital that the emergency number received a second call from the mother.

In the call, the woman reported being threatened again by an unknown man armed with a machete. However, when the officers arrived on the scene, they did not find any unknown person, but rather her son who was damaging the furniture in the house with a machete and threatening his mother. They stopped him and calmed him down. During the intervention, they also recovered the machete used to damage the furniture on a table. At that point, the woman broke down, confessing that in reality her husband had been attacked by her son who had stabbed him at the height of an argument. The seventeen-year-old was then arrested and is now in the juvenile prison of Quartucciu. The father, on the other hand, was admitted to Brotzu, initially with a red code, then his conditions improved and he is out of danger.
