He was driving a seized and uninsured car, and without a license because it had been revoked. Last night, around 3:30, a thirty-one-year-old worker from Selargius was seen by the Carabinieri in Quartu at the wheel of a Smart Fortwo. He did not respond to the patrol's stop signal, on the contrary: he decided to run away at full speed. The night chase continued from Quartu to Monserrato, and then ended badly: he lost control of the car and crashed into a Ford Ecosport that was parked regularly.

The driver of the Smart was immediately stopped by the carabinieri who were chasing him. The checks revealed that he did not have a license, as it had been revoked following similar precedents in the last two years . The checks then moved on to the car he was driving: it was already subject to administrative seizure and was not insured. Reason why a new seizure was carried out aimed at confiscating the Smart, entrusted to an approved warehouse.

The thirty-one-year-old was reported at liberty for resisting a public official and for a long series of violations of the Highway Code: repeated driving without a revoked license, driving a vehicle that had already been seized, and lack of insurance coverage .
