To rescue a family member and bring him home against his will, they organized a veritable punitive expedition. A violent intrusion into a home in Marrubiu , where the man was staying with an acquaintance, was attempted, to force him to return home.

There were four of them, including the brother of the man who had run away after an argument. He had to be brought home, by hook or by crook.

But, alerted by a call to 112, the Carabinieri from the Marrubiu station, along with colleagues from the Oristano Mobile Radio Unit, immediately responded to the scene. The four, all already known to law enforcement, were arrested before the situation escalated.

They were about to force their way into the house; they had already damaged the front door. When searched, they found they had on them a knife, a blank-firing pistol without its red cap, and six rounds of ammunition .

They are accused of trespassing, aggravated threats in conspiracy and illegal possession of weapons and objects capable of causing offence.
