No more asbestos in the Benedetto Croce institute, in Pula : after the works that made it possible to remove the highly carcinogenic material from the school building, the children will finally be able to return to class in total safety .
The interventions were financed with 215 thousand euros from municipal coffers, and with 155 thousand euros of ministerial resources transferred from the Region. The vice mayor and councilor for public works, Elisabetta Loi, was satisfied: «This result is the result of the synergy between the administration and the technical office, in a short time we managed to complete the works and deliver a school cleared of asbestos and with new fixtures in time for the start of the school year."
Loi also explains how the improvement of school buildings is one of the objectives of the Cabasino Council's program: «In a few months we managed to replace the air conditioning system in the Su Rondò school, and we started the project for the renovation of the institute of Santa Margherita: furthermore, the 5 million euro Iscol@ hub project will start shortly which will involve the school building in via Sant'Efisio".
