Disloyal Poste Italiane employee suspended from service. In the space of just over a year, according to the carabinieri's investigations, the woman had misappropriated 40 thousand euros . The precautionary measure was notified by the military who thus executed a provision issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Oristano, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The employee is under investigation for embezzlement and impersonation. The investigations, which began in early 2024, following complaints filed by several injured parties, have allowed us to reconstruct and collect evidence and evidence of guilt against the person under investigation who, in her capacity as an employee of Poste Italiane and, therefore, in charge of a public service, with multiple criminal conducts and in various locations of the company where, over time, she had worked, had appropriated sums of money - for a total of almost 40 thousand euros. According to the investigations of the military of Ghilarza and Abbasanta, she extinguished the Postepay cards registered to the injured parties and, using documents or copies of documents already in her possession , she replaced the account holders by opening postal savings books and withdrawing sums that she herself had transferred; she had misappropriated sums of money registered to various account holders by simulating transactions which, when asked for explanations, she claimed "had not been successful".
The offended people, having become aware of the shortages either as a result of unsuccessful payments, or having received communications from Poste Italiane regarding the closure of current accounts or the expiry of Postepay cards, operations which in fact they had never authorised, decided to report everything to the Carabinieri.
