Posada: collision between a car and a truck, two women stuck in the passenger compartment

For a few very long minutes they remained stuck between the sheets of their car which collided with a truck this morning around 5.15am.

Fear for two tourists on holiday in Sardinia, injured in a road accident in the town of Posada. The Siniscola fire brigade team intervened to extract them from the passenger compartment between the truck and a car inside which the two occupants were trapped.

To free the two women, the rescuers had to use shears and hydraulic spreaders and hand them over to the 118 personnel who intervened on site with two units, one of which was medicalised. The driver of the truck was uninjured.

The Siniscola carabinieri were also on site for their investigations.
