Serious accident at the intersection between via Balai and via Benedetto Croce, one of the intersections with a high percentage of accidents, a few steps from the Porto Torres seafront.

The impact occurred in the afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., when a Toyota carrying some tourists, coming from the Via Croce climb, not respecting the stop sign, collided with a motorbike that was proceeding along Via Balai. The impact was violent, so much so that the man was thrown against the hood of the car, suffering a head injury.

On site the Areus helicopter rescue with the medical team on board, who after stabilizing the injured man, a 60-year-old man from Porto Torres, transported him in red code to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari. The carabinieri of the Porto Torres company intervened for the surveys. At the stop point on via Benedetto Croce there is a complete lack of horizontal signage.
