Porto Torres, hit on the crosswalk: head trauma for a 76-year-old

Hit on the pedestrian crossing while crossing the road . Another accident in Porto Torres, involving a pedestrian.

This morning, shortly after 11:30, a 76-year-old man was hit by a Fiat Panda on via dei Corbezzoli , in the Serra li Pozzi area, as he was preparing to cross the road . He had already crossed the pedestrian crossing when he was hit by the vehicle that threw him to the ground. The impact resulted in a cranial-facial trauma and an injury to his right hand .

An ambulance without a doctor was on site and asked for the support of Soccorso Sardo. The 118 health workers, who intervened promptly, gave the elderly man first aid, before transferring him to the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital where he was placed under observation. The local police were also on the scene of the accident for the usual checks.

On Saturday 31 August another pedestrian was hit in via Sassari, fortunately without serious consequences.
