Approximately 1,300 “cigarillos” in packs of 10 without a state mark were seized at the port of Porto Torres by officials from the Sassari Customs Office, in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza.

The cigars were in the luggage of a Swiss citizen who had just disembarked from a ship from Genoa.

The Guardia di Finanza soldiers of the Porto Torres Company subjected a passenger to a check, just disembarked from the ship coming from Genoa.

The passenger was subject to the provisions for tobacco smuggling: a fine of 16,250 euros, reduced to 3,250 euros for "efficacious repentance".
