Police car on fire on the 131 between Uras and Terralba

Perhaps they were alerted by smoke coming out of the hood. And this is why, in all likelihood, no injuries were reported on State Road 131, between Uras and the crossroads for Terralba, where a traffic police Defender caught fire.

The officer driving had time to pull over to the side of the road and his colleagues left the passenger compartment and emptied the trunk: the contents were saved.

For the vehicle, however, there was nothing that could be done: in a short time it was engulfed in flames and transformed into a red-hot carcass. When the firefighters reached him there was nothing left to protect from the fire.
