They took away the cash register and punched the owner . Theater of the robbery, this morning around 8 , the "Tobacconist's shop" in via Riva Villasanta in Pirri .

The worst was Daniel Deplano , 41 years old who ended up in hospital, at the Monserrato Polyclinic, due to his injuries and for tests. The owner is his brother Simone who took over the business just five months ago : when Daniel called him to tell him what had happened, he hurriedly arrived from Sadali, a town in the Barbagia di Seulo area, where he lives with his family and where he manages a bar-pizzeria. About an hour and a half by car to reach Pirri, which seemed like an eternity to him.

« They were loading him into the ambulance to take him to the hospital », he says as he waits outside the tobacconist for the forensics to carry out the findings, «Daniel would never have reacted, he was certainly so frightened . Two boys entered and asked for information on children's games, hit him and then ran off with the cash register. Now I'm waiting for my brother to call me to pick him up. For us, the important thing is that he is well."

Many flocked this morning in front of the tobacco shop, one of the first to arrive was Benedetto Gaviano: « Daniel was terrified, we feel sorry for him, because he is a really good boy: always attentive, polite and courteous . He was taken aback. It happened around 8, I couldn't see the thugs, I worried about the kid who came out bleeding into the street. A gentleman who was here, however, seems to have taken the license plate .'

Simone Deplano also confirms this: «It seems to be a light, gray or blue Peugeot 208 stolen from Samassi yesterday. But we don't know anything else."
