The surprise discovery by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Cagliari occurred yesterday morning during searches and notifications of restrictive measures against the seven people arrested for international drug trafficking , especially ketamine and so-called pink cocaine.

Upon entering the home of one of the women placed under house arrest, Cristina Satta, a 37-year-old taxi driver from Cagliari, the military discovered a veritable clinic for abusive aesthetic medicine treatments . The premises, equipped for the administration of aesthetic treatments, had a desk for receiving patients with an appointment diary, a dedicated bathroom, and in the centre of the room a professional bed with a lamp and a trolley stocked with medicines and medical supplies.

During the raid , the 37-year-old attempted to throw the drugs containing botulinum out of the window, but was stopped . The drugs, the Carabinieri found, had been illegally imported from South Korea and were therefore not certified by the Italian health authorities.

The woman was reported for unauthorized practice of medicine, unauthorized opening of a clinic for aesthetic medicine treatments without the required authorization, and unauthorized importation of medicines from third countries.

The illegal laboratory - the rooms of the house used to receive clients - have been placed under seizure .
