A turning point in the investigation into the ambush carried out on January 1st against Peppino Fadda, 83 years old, along the provincial road between Padru and Buddusò: the car in which the shepherd was traveling - who became famous for having sold 60 kilos of pecorino cheese to George Clooney and for having participated in the series Catch 22 - had been hit by several gunshots and he was seriously injured.

The Carabinieri of the investigative unit of the territorial department of Olbia now have two suspects who could be the authors of the attempted murder.

The military traced their identities thanks to the discovery of some cartridges at the site of the ambush, which led to the isolation of some fingerprints that were examined by specialists.

So soon, after almost three months of investigations, whoever shot Peppino Fadda could have a face: the adoption of precautionary measures soon is not excluded.
