The inhabitants of Oschiri have been without a general practitioner for over a year . This is why the town today took to the streets to demand the restoration of the service . The situation over time – as explained by the protesters – has generated significant inconvenience, especially among the elderly and the most vulnerable groups of the population.

"Despite repeated requests to the competent authorities, to date no effective solutions have been adopted to guarantee adequate healthcare - explains the Oschiri health committee - we have expressed concern about the ineffectiveness of the temporary measures proposed, such as the Ascot service (Extraordinary Community Territorial Clinics), which is unable to meet the healthcare needs of citizens, often forced to wait long hours and without a continuous relationship with a trusted doctor". A peaceful procession passed through the main streets of Oschiri, culminating in a demonstration in front of the town hall.

A way to raise public awareness and solicit immediate intervention by regional and national institutions "to restore the fundamental right to health, ensuring the stable presence of a general practitioner in the country". The next step will be to send registered letters, from individual citizens and the Committee to the ASL offices for the choice of the doctor and to the top of the company to ask for a solution to the absence of a general practitioner.
