Orosei, fire in a country house: a LPG cylinder explodes

A violent fire broke out in the early afternoon today in a country house in the locality of Scala and Croccas, in the municipality of Orosei. Two teams of Firefighters intervened on site, from the central headquarters and the Siniscola detachment.

The flames quickly engulfed the structure, making it necessary to intervene promptly to put out the fire and secure the area.

According to an initial reconstruction, the fire started from a malfunctioning electrical panel. The short circuit triggered the fire, which then spread to the materials and equipment stored inside the building.

The episode caused extensive damage, aggravated by the explosion of a LPG cylinder, probably triggered by the high temperatures generated by the fire. The explosion left evident signs on the masonry structure and roof of the building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The operations to secure and clean up the area are still ongoing.
