Oristano, the city awaits Stefano Oppo for the big party

After having rejoiced in Paris the party will now be in Oristano . The whole city is preparing to celebrate its champion , Stefano Oppo, silver medal at the Olympics in the lightweight double together with his crewmate Gabriel Soares. Oppo is currently traveling home with his entire family, aboard the minibus made available by the Oristano Nautical Club for the champion's relatives.
Also traveling with Stefano Oppo are his parents Luigi and Adriana, his brother Matteo, aunts and uncles who supported the historic result from the stands. But Stefano Oppo's first coach, Antonio Marras, is not missing.
The celebrations are scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday 6 August, at 7pm, in the small square in front of the house in Via Monteverdi, in the neighborhood where Stefano was born and raised with his family. There will be no shortage of athletes from the Oristano Nautical Club, a sporting reality where Stefano Oppo did his first rowing sessions. And where even today he trains when it happens.
