Maybe they wanted to celebrate the beginning of the new year with a few more euros in their pockets. New blitz of vandals in the parking areas of Oristano.

On New Year's Eve someone tried to celebrate thinking they could pocket some cash: they broke into the parking meters of the multi-storey car parks on Via Carducci and Vico Verdi and the thieves made off with just over 500 euros.

But not only that: they also caused significant damage to the systems. This time, in fact, the video surveillance cameras were also damaged.

It was the employees of the company The Park (which manages the paid parking service in the city) who discovered the incident this morning and immediately raised the alarm, reporting the raid to the company's managers who immediately afterwards reported the incident to the police.

The company has already suffered damage in the past from petty thieves who periodically target the facilities in the hope of quickly and easily collecting money. It is a pity that they cause serious damage to The Park company. Many identical episodes in 2024 but also in 2023.
