Thieves on the move again in Oristano. A few hours after the thefts in the multi-storey car parks, criminals struck in the bar on Via Carducci under the porticoes of the Saia buildings. Meager loot but once again the damage is extensive. The police are investigating the episode.

It was the owner who discovered what had happened when she opened the place. One of the windows was smashed, the thieves went straight for the cash register: they forced it, managed to open it but found just under 50 euros. They immediately fled, leaving shattered windows and damage inside the bar that is frequented by students, commuters but also by many employees of nearby offices .

The owner raised the alarm, and patrols from the flying squad and the mobile squad intervened on the spot and immediately began investigations. The investigators are also examining the images from the video surveillance cameras in the area.

Meanwhile, investigations are continuing to shed light on the thefts in the multi-storey car parks on Via Carducci and Vico Verdi where parking meters were broken into during the holidays. In that case too, the thieves took a few pennies but caused damages worth several thousand euros.
