They had already forced the front door and were ready to carry out a robbery in the tobacconist's shop in Nuraxinieddu in Oristano.

But they hadn't counted on the Carabinieri who stopped the gang of kids: a sixteen-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto, the other three (aged between 16 and 17) were reported to the Cagliari Juvenile Court Prosecutor's Office for attempted aggravated theft. An adult accomplice was also reported.

The episode dates back to the night of January 3rd when the group of kids tried to enter the tobacconist's.

Having forced and damaged the front door, the young men managed to enter the store but were unable to complete their plan. Their movements aroused the suspicions of an off-duty carabiniere who immediately alerted his colleagues.

In a few minutes, the military from the Riola Sardo, Cabras and Radiomobile stations arrived on the scene, disrupting the plans of the minors who were unable to take anything away. One of them was arrested, the other four were reported for attempted aggravated theft. After the formal procedures, the boys were handed over to their parents.
