Orgosolo, Tzia Annedda Castangia has died: she witnessed the death of Blessed Antonia Mesina

Orgosolo mourns the loss of Tzia Annedda Castangia, who died at the age of 102 in her home in the village.

Castangia, a childhood friend of Antonia Mesina, was the last to see the Blessed alive on May 17, 1935: they were sharing the journey towards the countryside, when her companion was attacked and killed by the fury of a fellow villager.

Tzia Annedda, single and involved in several voluntary actions with Catholic Action, for decades has told the story of the Blessed, through memories and stories.
