Orgosolo, Forestas worker wounded in the face by a gunshot
Hospitalized in serious conditions at San Francesco: he was in a car along the perimeter of a construction site, hit in the cheek

He was in his car and was checking the perimeter of the forestry construction site when he was hit by a gunshot. Giovanni Antonio Puddu, a 66-year-old worker from Forestas, was wounded in the cheek: the ambush took place in the countryside of Orgosolo.
Little else is known about the episode. The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Nuoro worked on the scene and a medicalized ambulance from 118 intervened.
Puddu was hit in the right cheek (with an exit wound in the left): he was transported to the hospital in Nuoro with a red code. He underwent a delicate operation and is said to be out of danger.
The Carabinieri are trying to shed full light on the episode: Puddu is not a person known to the police and, at the moment, no elements have emerged to justify the ambush.
The injury occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. in the Montes area. The worker had gotten into the car and was driving away when he was hit by a volley of gunshots. Some buckshot lodged in the bodywork, at least one more entered the passenger compartment and hit him in the cheek, but it is not excluded that the 66-year-old was hit by other shots, even grazing ones.
From what we have learned, it was the 66-year-old himself who raised the alarm by calling 112 with his cell phone.
