The criminal trial against Elia Del Grande, the 50-year-old man who, at the end of October last year, left his workhouse in Castelfranco Emilia (Modena), where he was being held under a security measure following a 30-year prison sentence for a triple homicide (the bakers' massacre), opened today in Tempio Pausania.

Before his capture on November 13th of last year, Del Grande had also been searched in Telti, where he owns a home. And today, the man, represented by criminal lawyer Antonello Desini, began his trial on charges of theft and criminal damage.

The alleged victim is a neighbor, a German man who lives in Telti (a few kilometers from Olbia). The lawyer obtained a postponement because Del Grande is currently being held in the Alba prison and will be present at the next hearing.
