Another 1,564 Covid cases were detected today in Sardinia according to the latest update of the Crisis Unit. With 4,662 people tested and 24,384 molecular and antigenic swabs processed, the positivity rate was 6.4%.

Another 11 people lost their lives due to the virus on the island: two women from the province of Sassari aged 84 and 93, 3 men from the Metropolitan City of Cagliari aged 70, 80 and 90, a 77-year-old from Oristano, two others in Southern Sardinia, a 66-year-old man and 88-year-old woman, and finally three residents in the province of Nuoro, including an 83-year-old woman.

Pressure on hospitals is easing. There are 30 patients in intensive care, 2 fewer than yesterday, 376 those in the medical area, -1 compared to the figure 24 hours ago.

There are 23,127 Sardinians in home isolation, 379 more than yesterday.
