Sardinia has earned a place in the ranking of the world's most beautiful beaches. And it does so with one of its most famous postcards: Su Giudeu , on the Chia coast, in the Domus de Maria area, which ranks 19th worldwide according to Beach.com's Global Beach Index 2026 , the only Italian beach in the top 25.

It's not just a question of postcard beauty. The ranking was constructed by cross-referencing the opinions of travel experts and creators with scientific data on water quality, visitor reviews, accessibility, and climate conditions. The analysis considered 226 beaches from around the world and over 93,000 Google reviews.

And it's precisely this overall experience that made Su Giudeu the most convincing : the expert asked to evaluate it awarded it the highest score. This recognition recognizes a landscape capable of concentrating some of the most recognizable elements of the Sardinian coast in just a few kilometers: a long expanse of fine white sand, clear, shallow water, and dunes backing the shore.

Completing the scene is the lagoon behind it, also frequented by pink flamingos, while in front of the beach emerge two small islands that make the area particularly interesting for those who love snorkeling and kayaking.

In the global ranking, Su Giudeu precedes other destinations of absolute international appeal. In first place is Trunk Bay , in the U.S. Virgin Islands, followed by Elafonissi , in Crete.
