The car was impaled by the guardrail, which pierced the passenger compartment from side to side. The driver? Unharmed, or almost.
The accident that occurred this evening on provincial road 4, which leads from Olzai to Lake Cucchinadorza, could have had a much worse outcome.
The vehicle, for reasons yet to be ascertained, began an out-of-control roll, until the metal barrier entered the windshield, then bent and passed through the entire vehicle.
The firefighters of the 10A team of the Sorgono detachment intervened at the scene of the crash and extracted the driver: despite the scenario, he only suffered minor injuries and was entrusted to the care of a 118 crew.
The surveys were carried out by the Tonara Carabinieri.
