There is a joint cause between the death at the beginning of the year of Luigina Fois , 88 years old from Oliena , and the assault suffered at the hands of her son, Salvatore Franceschi , 58 years old, in November last year. The woman died three months after the attack in a nursing home in Padru where she had been transferred after being discharged from the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital.

To say this this morning the coroner Nicola Lenigno , charged in an evidentiary incident by the investigating judge of the Court of Nuoro, Mauro Pusceddu, at the request of the deputy prosecutor Riccardo Belfiori, to verify if there was a link or a contributing cause between the death of Fois which was been attacked by her son with an ax .

Franceschi, currently held in prison on charges of attempted murder, will see his position worsen . The documents, in fact, return to the Public Prosecutor for the provisions of the case, which after the expert report of the coroner, can only see the accusation change from attempted murder to murder. In fact , infirmity was excluded for the man : in a psychiatric report drawn up by the psychiatrist Claudia Granieri he was judged capable of understanding and wanting.
