An entrepreneur from a town in the hinterland of Olbia has been sentenced to four years in prison for repeated sexual abuse of a nine-year-old girl.
The man, 65 years old, was sentenced by the preliminary hearing judge of the Tempio Tribunal at the end of a trial held with an abbreviated procedure . The events occurred recently and according to the documents, the person responsible for the violence took advantage of the friendship with the minor's family.
The man admitted his responsibilities and would also have started to compensate the parents of the child. The preliminary hearing judge accepted the requests of the public prosecutor. The man, defended by criminal lawyers Angelo Merlini and Donatella Corronciu, benefited from the one-third reduction in sentence provided for by the procedure.
