He lost control of the car, crashing into a parked vehicle which in turn bent a light pole.
The accident occurred this night around one in Via Barcellona in Olbia.
The motorist was rescued by the crew of an 118 ambulance who transferred him to hospital, while the firefighters made the area safe.
The Olbia Carabinieri carried out investigations to ascertain the dynamics and causes of the crash.
