The flames reached the area during the night and pierced the darkness of the industrial area on Via Madagascar. Around 2:00 a.m., a fire engulfed a 25-meter catamaran, stored outside a nautical shed.

Firefighters from Olbia and Arzachena responded to the scene in force, supported by a high-capacity airport water tanker. A battle against time and the flames lasted for hours.

The fire also threatened other vessels stored in the shipyard, but thanks to the timely and coordinated intervention of the firefighting teams, the worst was averted.

Fortunately, no one was injured, but the damage was extensive : little more than the blackened skeleton of the catamaran remains, and the air still smells of burning.
