They come from overseas to become expert managers and consultants in the field of sustainable tourism and lay the foundations for their future, taking off from Olbia. Established in 2019, the master's degree course Innovation management for sustainable tourism, entirely in English, is included in the training offer of the department of Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Sassari, hosted by the University Center of Olbia based at Costa airport Smeralda, is increasingly international.

Almost half of the students from non-European countries crowd the course classrooms this academic year and, according to data released by the UniOlbia University Consortium, they will tend to increase. In fact, there are 238 non-EU students who passed the admission test to enroll in the next academic year.

Indian students are already present, this year has seen, for the first time in the course curriculum, the enrollment of American, Chinese and Arab colleagues as well as, although with lower numbers, Russians, Brazilians, Romanians, Ghanaians, Lebanese, Pakistanis and Moroccans. Currently equal to 47.4 percent of enrolled students, the percentage of international students has skyrocketed, going from approximately 10 percent in 2020 to 38 percent in 2022.
