Tortolì airport reopens . On 15 June, after 4,262 days of deafening silence, the airport will be operational.

This afternoon, through a note on its website, ENAV (National Agency for flight assistance) formalized the resumption of general aviation traffic with private flights for up to a maximum of 20 passengers .

There would already be two air taxi companies ready to operate . «Reopening after twelve years with general aviation is certainly a great result. It is the first step in being able to see again the connections between Ogliastra and the Peninsula, enhancing the tourist vocation of the Tortolì port ». The airport has been inactive since 10 October 2011. On that occasion an ATR 42 took off for Rome.
