Nurri is still burning: 200 hectares of forest and Mediterranean scrub go up in smoke.

Nurri continues to battle the fires . Approximately 200 hectares have gone up in smoke in recent days , 100 of which are forest, Mediterranean scrub, pastures, and the municipal pine forest. After the blaze on July 21st , the flames have returned to the town, reigniting along the already affected perimeter that had required the intervention of firefighting teams in recent days.

The firefighting operations were coordinated by personnel from the Isili Forestry Corps Station, with the support of the crew aboard the helicopter from the CFVA base in Villasalto.

A team from the Forestas Agency of the Villanovatulo construction site and a municipal team from Nurri intervened on site.
