The Region has not yet decided whether to invest the 50 million euros missing for the construction of the new Cagliari stadium .

The Municipality needs a quick response because by 7 February it will have to inform the FGCI of the city's candidacy to host the European football championships in 2032.

The regional council could give the green light as early as tomorrow, proposing an ad hoc amendment to the 2023 budget which will be approved on Tuesday.

Up to now the councilor for the budget Fasolino has neither confirmed nor excluded the intervention directly in maneuver.

The fact is that, a few hours after the session, the Region has not dissolved any reservations. This is because Christian Solinas would not be entirely convinced of the appropriateness of the financing, especially for a plant that he would like to be built elsewhere.

But Brothers of Italy (the party of the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu) is pushing for the amendment to arrive in the Chamber. Otherwise, Giorgia Meloni's party would in all likelihood bring one of its own.

One thing is certain: the stadium will be discussed in the Chamber because even the oppositions have their own amendment: Piero Comandini's proposal which authorizes ten million for each of the years 2023, 2024 and 2025 in favor of the Municipality for the construction of the rossoblù stadium.
