Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 4, in the neighborhoods of La Solitudine, Sa e Sulis, Irrilai, Sa e manca, Su Campu, Santu Predu, Preda Istrada, Corte e susu, Santa Ruche, Su Cuzone, Ubisti, Piazza Italia, and Su Serbadore due to the scheduled closure of the Murrone reservoir, announced by Abbanoa.

The water supply interruption is expected from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Mayor Emiliano Fenu has signed an ordinance suspending educational activities at the affected schools, including the Enrico Fermi Scientific and Linguistic High School (Via Ballero branch), the Civic Music School, the Nuoro University Consortium, the San Pietro Primary and Middle School, the preschools on Via Malta, Via delle Frasche, and Via della Pietà, and the Guiso Gallisai private school.

The decision is already controversial: minority councilors Maura Chessa and Francesca De Ambrosis have announced a question about the delays in the promised projects to equip school buildings with cisterns and water supplies.
