Alarm raised in Nuoro during the night: it happened on Thursday, October 16, when, clearly agitated, a couple began kicking cars parked in the streets below Piazza Veneto around 10 p.m. Several residents reported the incident to the police.

When police cars arrived, the woman lunged at them, and shortly thereafter, the man also reportedly reacted violently. Both were subdued and taken to a holding cell.

The two (defended by lawyers Carlo Murru and Andrea Puledda) appeared in a fast-track hearing before the judge of the Court of Nuoro, Filippo Orani, to answer the charge of resisting a public official.

The judge imposed a signature requirement on the woman, from Nuoro.

His partner , a cook originally from Fonni, must also answer for the crime of escape, as he should have been under house arrest at the time of the incident . Instead, he was happily living it up in Nuoro, without reason or permission. The Fonni native thus found himself in prison.

The charges against the two could be made more serious if the owners of the damaged cars decide to file a complaint.
