Hunt for the lone thief who stole part of the jewels that Alessandra Todde's mother kept in her home in the center of Nuoro.

According to a first reconstruction which is now being examined by investigators, yesterday morning the man, with his face uncovered and with a hat on his head, managed to sneak into the house where the Sardinian governor's mother and aunt live with subterfuge , telling the aunt that the mother of the President of the Region, who was not at home at the time, had felt ill.

In a short time the thief managed to take away several pieces of jewelery by escaping from a side entrance. Only a lot of fear for the elderly lady who was in the house, where the governor's mother then also returned.

In the evening Alessandra Todde arrived in Nuoro and all the commitments scheduled for today were cancelled. The numerous cameras in the area, not far from the cathedral of Santa Maria della Neve and the provincial Carabinieri command, are also being examined by the police.
