A man in his thirties took advantage of a woman who was on the phone with a friend, waiting for her husband, in the car parked in via Gramsci with the safety catches open, to open the door and snatch away her handbag because it was resting on the seat of the passenger. The woman tried to hold the purse, without success, to chase the criminal and yell at him.
The episode happened in the city centre , a stone's throw from kindergartens and shops a few days ago. The victim was a woman who never would have imagined being in danger at 12.40, inside her car, on a busy road, with a construction site where bricklayers worked, near a butcher's shop and several open shops, a few steps from a kindergarten.
THE RECONSTRUCTION – The facts leave little doubt. The woman arrives in via Gramsci by car and stops in the parking lots a stone's throw from the intersection. A man passes on the sidewalk. He sees the bag on the other side. He stops shortly after the car and waits for the moment to act. The traffic is intense, he approaches, waits for the right moment, minutes pass until he pulls up the hood of his jacket, opens the passenger side door and snatches the bag.
The woman reacts, holds back the strap of her bag, to no avail. The man takes the wallet, throws the bag on the ground and flees to via Sant'Emiliano. The woman runs after him, then calls the police.
