Nuoro, procession of vehicles to request a landfill for inert materials: traffic at a standstill

Bricklayers and truck drivers protest to get a landfill for inert materials in the city. A procession of vehicles causes traffic to go haywire.

The protesters, involving the city, covered the route from 7 to 10.30 with 100 people and 25 vehicles along the following route: Campo Nero, Viale Sardegna, Piazza Sardegna, Via Lucania, Via Lamarmora, Sanatorio roundabouts, Viale Trieste, Piazza Italia Provincia, Town Hall and laps around Piazza Italia until 10. The protesters are in a meeting with the extraordinary commissioner Giuseppe Ciccolini .

The aim is to raise awareness among citizens and institutions about the lack of a collection and treatment centre for construction site waste.
