A celebration ruined by a serious episode: during the night between Friday and Saturday, unknown persons entered the house in Nuoro of the new priors of San Francesco, taking away gold and precious objects. The discovery was made only on Saturday afternoon, upon returning from the convivial lunch of S'Arbore, the final moment of the handover of the sanctuary of Lula.

The thieves acted at night, forcing entry into the house on the outskirts, in Corte, taking advantage of the absence of the homeowners. Once inside, they ransacked everything, managing to steal several valuables, the amount of which is still being ascertained.

In an instant, the joy of the new assignment turned into bitterness. Giovanni Farina and Daniela Marongiu had just taken over from Ivan Mariane and Maura Cavada as priors, a central role in the tradition of the pilgrimage to Lula. The celebration, deeply felt by the community, was thus marred by this vile gesture.
