The body of Fabrizio Spagnoli, deputy inspector of the State Police stationed at the Nuoro Flying Squad, who had not been heard from since last Saturday, was found lifeless.
The discovery was made a short distance from where his car was located in the Campotino area, in Collecorvino, Abruzzo, where he had returned for vacation. No other details are known at the moment.
Originally from Montesilvano, Spagnoli was in his homeland with his family. A police inspector on duty since January 8th at the third section of the Flying Squad of the Barbagia capital. He was 30 years old.
His family was alarmed when the young man did not return home and did not answer the phone anymore. He had a ferry booked from Livorno, but he never stopped by the house to pack his bags. His mother reported him missing to the police.
During the inspection of his home, it was discovered that his service pistol was no longer in his possession: the weapon had been left at home. Two days ago, the agent's black BMW was found open in the Campotino hamlet, in Collecorvino, near a farmhouse where, according to reports, Spagnoli had gotten married some time ago. The search began immediately, coordinated by the Prefecture of Pescara and entrusted to the Fire Department, Civil Protection, with molecular dogs, and divers, given the presence of small lakes in the area. Drones and thermal cameras were also used. Today the dramatic discovery.
