Nuoro Massacre, City in Shock: Events Cancelled and City Mourning

The community of Nuoro is in shock over the tragic events on Via Ichnusa, where this morning a 52-year-old forestry worker, Roberto Gleboni, shot and killed his 43-year-old wife and 25-year-old daughter, also wounding his younger children – one of whom was in desperate condition –, his mother and a neighbor, before taking his own life.

The tragic event has caused great grief. As a sign of respect for the tragedy, the event “The Night of Researchers” organized in the city by the Europe Direct Center has been canceled, while the prefectural commissioner Giovanni Pirisi will decree a day of mourning on the day of the victims' funerals.
