Serious road accident in the very early afternoon in Nuoro. A 44-year-old woman was hit by a car while crossing the road on via Gramsci, shortly after the driving school, near a particularly busy intersection.
The impact occurred shortly after 2.30pm: the woman was hit by a Volkswagen Polo, smashed the windshield and was thrown to the ground after falling a few metres.
The 118 emergency services intervened immediately, transporting her to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro with a red code for dynamics. The woman, who never lost consciousness, suffered a serious head trauma.
The police are conducting investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident and verify any responsibilities.
