The thirty-four-year-old man accused of attempting to kill his father in Nulvi last Sunday has been released from prison. According to his parents, he was arrested because he allegedly showed up at the couple's house in the Badde area of the town, where they own adjacent land. He first damaged some plants, and then, when his father demanded an explanation, struck him in the head and side with a shovel. For this reason, the thirty-four-year-old was taken to Bancali prison the following day, also charged with mistreatment for several previous incidents. Today, the thirty-four-year-old attended the validation hearing, represented by attorney Elisabetta Udassi, answering questions from investigating judge Sergio De Luca and prosecutor Maria Paola Asara.

At the end of the hearing, the judge ordered the suspect's release, with no criminal record, believing that the incident did not unfold as the family members had recounted. A witness reportedly said that, in reality, it was the father who showed up on his son's land and attacked him with a shovel, being subsequently disarmed and struck in self-defense.

It also appears that the same parents, in the past, have accused their son of other aggressive acts that apparently never occurred. The investigating judge, in conclusion, did not confirm the arrest, rejecting the prosecutor's request and ordering his immediate release.
