Demonstrations "no vax" and "no green pass" allowed, but not in the squares and in the areas where there is the greatest concentration of people. This was what was decided this morning during the Committee for public order and safety, summoned by videoconference by the prefect of Cagliari, Gianfranco Tomao, to address the issue relating to the demonstrations after the directive issued by the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese.

In addition to the representatives of the police, the metropolitan mayor Paolo Truzzu also took part in the meeting.

"We examined the situation taking into account that the demonstrations that have already taken place took place in an orderly and peaceful manner - explains prefect Tomao - It was thus decided to allow the initiative announced for next Saturday in Piazza Garibaldi in static form".

For the near future he specifies: "We agreed to avoid holding demonstrations in the central areas of the city affected by a significant presence of people, where there are many shops and a large concentration of people. Every week we will examine the situation to decide to authorize the initiatives that will be announced taking these needs into account ".

"We want to guarantee on the one hand the right to demonstrate and on the other that of citizens, also safeguarding the interests of exhibitors - clarifies the prefect - Every week we will examine what to do. I will inform the Central Government of the demonstrations and reasons so that it can have a complete picture of the situation ".
