Money by November 25th, with the confirmation of the program agreement, or for the "Gigi Riva" stadium in Cagliari you risk losing another year. The alarm sirens were sounded by Mayor Paolo Truzzu in recent days, with a letter sent to the President of the Region, Christian Solinas. And today the echo of concern rebounded from Turin, through the mouth of the business and media director of the rossoblù club, Stefano Melis.

"We are twenty days away from an important deadline, that is , the deadline for confirming the program agreement for the transfer into the municipal budget of the funds already confirmed and promised by the Region", said Melis from the Piedmontese capital, where today Cagliari challenges the Juventus of former Massimiliano Allegri. «The hope», he added, «is that this step will be completed on time, so as not to waste another year and put an end to the more technical and administrative phase of the process».

At stake are the 50 million foreseen by a regional law, which will be made available to the Municipality only after the program agreement is signed.

The issue is linked to accounting rules, as Truzzu wrote to Solinas to put pressure on him: if there is no certainty of having them by November 24th, they cannot be entered in the balance sheet before 2024. And more time will be wasted. Otherwise, if the green light were to be given to the Paur (Single road authorization measure, with the process already underway), we could proceed immediately with the construction tender.

«Today», said Melis again in Turin, «we are going to the home of Juventus, in front of many of our fans, an enormous stimulus in a high-level facility, among the best in Italy and beyond. We hope to be able to say the same thing about our stadium soon, we are working to build our new home, on Thursday there was a very important step with the positive opinions from the services conference, the result of constant and enormous work by the club, where every day dozens of professionals leave nothing to chance to take care of the technical aspects of the project".
