New continuity underway, but low-cost airlines cut flights
Aeroitalia debuts in Cagliari, Ita moves its aircraft to AlgheroTerritorial continuity changes again. And if frequencies, number of seats available, destinations and fares remain the same , the actors will be different . That is, the companies involved in the three Sardinian ports.
In Cagliari the debut of Aeroitalia , the low cost airline founded two years ago that has already managed connections under the public service regime in the airports of northern Sardinia. It will take the place of Ita Airways, which from this morning will transfer its planes to Alghero . The arrival was preceded by controversy, in particular that regarding the flight times to Linate : the first is scheduled for 8.55 and does not allow you to be in the center of Milan before 11 (except for delays). Despite the willingness of the state company to review the operational plan and the pressure from the Region, the scoreboard has not yet changed .
In Olbia, Aeroitalia will exclusively manage the connection with Milan and in tandem with Volotea the one with Rome . And to respond to the complaints about the difficulties that await those traveling to international destinations with stopovers in Fiumicino and Linate, it is preparing to sign a code share agreement with Qatar Airways .
In the meantime, with the start of the winter aeronautical season (which always begins on the last Sunday of October), the low cost airlines are preparing to reduce their commitment at the island's airports .
