Heavy rain on Sunday in Sardinia due to a new Atlantic disturbance brought by the Ligurian cyclone.

According to forecasts, the weather will worsen significantly on the island from the afternoon onwards.

The regional civil protection has issued a code yellow alert for hydraulic and hydrogeological risk throughout tomorrow in the western and central area of the island: to be precise in the areas of Logudoro, Montevecchio Pischinappiu and Tirso. The bad weather will forcefully hit the North West of Italy, with heavy snow expected above 7-800 metres, "among the strongest in the last 10-20 years", explains ilMeteo.it. Then, starting from the afternoon, it will also arrive in the rest of the North, in Sardinia, Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio. Mild climate in the rest of the Peninsula.
