Luigi Piras, the 76-year-old pensioner accused of the murder of Antonio Pisu in Monserrato , availed himself of the right not to answer before the investigating judge of the Court of Cagliari.

The hearing had been called remotely. The man is defended by the lawyer Marco Secci.

The crime dates back to Tuesday when a quarrel broke out between Piras and Pisu, culminating in five gunshots, four of which reached the victim, leaving him no way out.

Piras, who lived in a house in Pisu and had not paid the rent for years, was then blocked by Pisu's family and then arrested by the police.

The necropsy of the body was carried out by the coroner Roberto Demontis.
