Request for an abbreviated trial and psychiatric expertise advanced by the lawyer Nicola Lucchi to the Court of Sassari against his client Fulvio Baule, the 40-year-old bricklayer from Ploaghe who killed the spouses Basilio Saladdino and Liliana Mancusa on February 26 last year in Porto Torres .

The preliminary hearing has been set for November 17 , at which the gup Giovanni Paolo Piana will decide whether to accept the request for an abbreviated procedure and technical advice to assess the state of health of the accused at the time of the attack .

Since February 27th, Baule has been locked up in the Bancali prison on charges of double murder, aggravated by the cruelty and attempted murder of his ex-wife , Ilaria Saladdino, committed in front of his two one-year-old children. The abandonment of minors is one of the five counts contested by the prosecutor against the murderer, sanctioned because without justified reason he brought a hatchet out of his home and inside his car.

To appear as civil parties in the trial, Giusy and Mariella Saladdino, daughters of the killed spouses, the mother's brother and the father's two sisters, represented by the lawyers Gian Mario Solinas and Gabriele Satta, who will appoint partisan consultants.
