Mourning for the vice president of the Region and former mayor of Golfo Aranci Giuseppe Fasolino. Father Salvatore, aged 77, died yesterday, on the first day of the year, after a short illness.

The eldest son of 12, he worked as a fisherman, but in the past he had served on State Railways ships that called at the port of Golfo Aranci. He leaves behind his wife, Carmen Columbano, and two sons, Giuseppe and Niccolò.

«In a certain way you were the founder, being the eldest of the Fasolino brothers gave you this task and we have all always recognized it», as Mario Mulas, current mayor of Golfo Aranci and nephew of the deceased, remembers him, « you were the guide, the example. You leave us on a day that was supposed to be a celebration because someone like you leaves the scene like this. I owe you so much and will always be grateful to you. I hug Carmen and my cousins Giuseppe and Nicolò tightly. Bye Uncle Tore."

The funeral took place this afternoon in the town in the church of San Giuseppe.
